It is quite tricky to skate up and down the slopes and ramps. This type of sloping curves in skateboarding is termed as “flow”. You should always keep your weight on your front foot while you do skateboarding down a slope or down a ramp. You should be very careful and concentrate on putting your weight on your front foot to gain balance and at the same time just be relaxed.

You will notice that when you skate up a slope and then come down the slope then the front foot changes automatically. You will be putting your weight on one foot when you go up and on the other foot when you come down, be it whatever may be the foot right or left. You should practice to change your foot and balancing the weight on the foot right at the top where you change direction to come down. This can be achieved through constant practice.

The second major key to do this trick will be to bend your knees. And keep it as loose as you can. This would greatly help to absorb shock and other impacts of bumps as you encounter while you skate up and down. You should not hunch too much your shoulder. You should try and keep your shoulders a little back while you skate. As a general rule you should keep your knees relaxed.
